Accused

I get accused all the time
And the accuser knows it not
I am man, and men are greedy
Disrespectful and abusive
Power hungry and inappropriate
All of my shortcomings are in the open
And none of my strengths
Our nature is to seek,
Our nature is to procure,
Yet we’re told we can’t anymore
That our time is over.
We let our unchecked drive become excessive
Now our time is over, a new abuser is in town
